You’re on your way to becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) with only five PADI Specialty Instructor ratings.

Variable depending on the Specialties you chose to undertake.

Requirements

Renewed PADI Assistant Instructor (AI), PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor or having completed an IDC or PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program within the past 12 months.

For your personal safety, all PADI students must complete a medical statement prior to commencing a course. If none of the listed conditions apply, you sign the form and are ready to start. If any of them affect you, as a safety precaution, a physician must examine you and sign a medical form that confirms that you’re fit to dive, dated within the last 12 months.
