PADI Master Scuba Diver
The highest non-professional rating for divers, which places you among the diving elite and shows your comprehensive education and extensive experience and ability. Every diver should be encouraged to achieve what is often considered the “black belt” of scuba diving.
What’s involved?
Once you have completed the Rescue Diver course, 5 specialties of your choice and have logged 50 dives you are eligible to apply for this rating.
The specialties are completely of your choice. You can either opt to complete those you have already done as a part of the advanced course (note that the advanced course dives are the first dives of the corresponding specialty) or you can indulge in something completely different if your interests have changed.

As a Master Scuba Diver you have attained a level of competence and commitment to diving which is internationally recognized and respected.

To reach this level you must complete all levels of diver training including Rescue Diver, Emergency First Response and 5 PADI Specialty courses as well as having a minimum of 50 logged dives.

For your personal safety, all PADI students must complete a medical statement prior to commencing a course. If none of the listed conditions apply, you sign the form and are ready to start. If any of them affect you, as a safety precaution, a physician must examine you and sign a medical form that confirms that you’re fit to dive, dated within the last 12 months.
