PADI Boat Diver

Does boat diving jargon leave you feeling lost? Would like to become better acquainted with boat etiquette? PADI Boat Diver Specialty course will explain the difference between the bow and the stern, suggest how to board and leave a boat and instruct you how to treat and prevent sea sickness. It's an essential course for both first-time boat divers and those who simply want to expand their knowledge.


1 day on a boat


Expand knowledge on

  • Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of boat diving.
  • Proper boat diving etiquette- storage of personal equipment, personal conduct and boat maintenance.
  • Basic common boat terminology.
  • Local boat diving-related laws and ordinances.
  • Specific boat diving laws-related and ordinances.
  • Overview of emergency/safety equipment required on-board of private diving vessels.

2 open water dives
The course can be combined with a Nitrox course!


Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water or equivalent
Age: older than 10
1 recreational dive before the course to check weights, buoyancy and equipment

Boat Diver manual: 40 €
Logbook: 10 €

For your personal safety, all PADI students must complete a medical statement prior to commencing a course. If none of the listed conditions apply, you sign the form and are ready to start. If any of them affect you, as a safety precaution, a physician must examine you and sign a medical form that confirms that you’re fit to dive, dated within the last 12 months.
