Dubrovnik’s underwater world is so rich that sometimes it is enough just to jump from the shore into the sea and you will come across unique sea scenes. The location of our diving center is an ideal place for exploring Dubrovnik’s underwater world, and just ten meters away you will find one of our home reefs.
This locality owes its name to its appearance. When you dive towards the underwater reef, it will remind you of Africa. If you have heard of the saying "Four seasons change in one day" then you will be able to identify with this dive site - on this reef, four different seabeds change in the same dive.
Little Africa is located between the mainland and the islet Grebeni and is located at a depth of 10 to 40 meters. Due to its stunning beauty, this is an ideal location for underwater photographers! A sandy bottom with much different fish, a rocky reef and caves full of openings, a bottom covered with marine vegetation, the remains of ancient amphorae... Little Africa offers truly unique beauties.
Thanks to the shallow sea and geographical position, the reef has currents that encourage the growth of marine life. Little Africa is known for a wide range of species such as lobsters, red scorpionfish, moray eels, tunas, octopuses, and many smaller fish. You will have the feeling that you are in the African savanna on a safari - a safari through the sea. Little Africa is one of the most interesting reefs in Europe and the perfect base for the Blue Planet Diving Center.
