The Grebeni Islands are located in the neighborhood of the Blue Planet diving center and, fortunately for us, are one of the most interesting diving sites in this area. They offer many adventure opportunities beneath the surface of the sea for both experienced divers and beginners.
Grebeni are a small group of 11 islets / cliffs located near the Lapad peninsula (part of Dubrovnik) on which the lighthouse of the same name is located. There are three islets: Greben, Kantenari and Vješala, while Jabuka rock is located a little further east. From a morphological point of view, these islets are the remains of a reef that formed a whole with the Lapada peninsula and the islands in front of Cavtat. They belong to the Elaphite group.
This site is a favorite for both underwater photography enthusiasts and divers of all categories because of its narrow underwater passage/tunnel that leads to the open sea. The sun’s rays refracting in it through the crystal clear sea provide a unique diving experience and a breathtaking sight. More experienced divers can progress through another, smaller underwater tunnel and a cave with a smaller opening that leads into the shallow sea.
Grebeni will enchant you forever with their beauty and wealth of marine life - octopuses, moray eels, red scorpionfish, breams and piper gurnards.
